The 2nd game of the season for Allstars F.C. vs Kendall Wanderers deemed a winnable game & we were in control for the 1st 35 minutes of the game.  Allstars F.C. came out with heavy pressure on the Kendall defense & got more than a handful of shots to goal but none made it to the back of the net.

Allstars F.C. kept playing good football on defense & offense expecting to make key chances count with close chances by St. John, Fancy & Vinnie.  Kendall played a very good game on offense & defense as well also coming up with key chances in the 1st half of play but also not putting away there chances.

Both goal keepers kept their respective teams in the game, very stingy on giving up any momentum.  The half ended @ 0-0.

The 2nd half started with the same intensity where both teams kept getting chances to score but not putting them away.  The momentum kept going back & forth for both teams & seemed like it would be a hard fought tie @ 0-0, but in the 88 minute; Kendall got a late free kick from a foul & blatantly served an air ball from 40 yards out.

Allstars F.C. goalkeeper Suppah Don came out to secure the ball, but misjudged & mishandled the ball while in the air served by the Kendall defender which led to an own goal by the goalkeeper (1-0) Kendall.

The goal took the air out of the players with the late goal scored by Kendall & made it a tough loss for the 2nd time in the league for the past 3 seasons.

The Spring 2012 season kicked off as planned on April 1st against Needham United.  The team came out on a slow pace @ the start which caused a key mishap in the defense between "Damian" & "Desi".  This key mistake gave Needham an early 1-0 lead.  The goal made our team more aware of Needham's intensity & gave us more confidence to get settled in the game & get a goal before the half.

Needham kept the pressure going with a well organised build up from their defense & midfield play.  Allstars F.C. made key adjustments after the goal to deal with Needham's midfield play, a speedy forward & their aggressive style.

With that key adjustment, Allstars F.C. midfield player "Dexter" made an impressive run down the wing & crossed a beautiful ball to "St. John" in the 18 yard box, who's 1st touch was phenomenal & enabled him to spank the ball with placement & power to tie the game @ 1-1.

With the game tied @ 1-1 both teams play became more intense with Needham making an attempt to score again from a thru pass only to be denied by Allstars goalkeeper "Suppah Don".  With that save Allstars goalkeeper made a lovely 40 yards outlet pass to "Vinnie" who then played it to "Bling" then a wall pass to "St. John" who was fouled by the Needham defense @ 35 yards out.

"Bling" stepped up to the plate & nailed a sweet 35 yard free-kick into the top of the 90 degree angle of the goal, which put Allstars F.C. 2-1 @ halftime.

In the second half both teams kept the pressure & aggressive play going; Both teams made key attempts to score but only Allstars F.C. seemed to come very close a few times with shots from "St. John", "Dodger", "Fancy", "Leon", and "Bling".  To no avail guys could not put their shots in the back of the net & finished the game with a VERY good win & secure 3 points to kick the season off.
